So another day, another dollar as the saying goes. Which would explain why Robyn was still in her place of work. The hard rock cafe. She glanced to her watch, noticing it was almost eleven. And seeing as it was friday, the restaurant didn't close till twelve. Though that wasn't the reason she was checking. Usually on a friday, just after eleven he would come in. Who is this 'he', you're wondering. Well, he would be the boy from across the street. Robyn knew his first name by now, Lucas. Though that was all she'd learned, well, other than his usual meal. But it was the same, every friday, just after eleven, he'd come in and eat. And almost always, she'd be his server. Considering it was also friday, the restaurant wasn't all that busy around that time - not busy enough for all the staff that would be in and so Robyn would occasionally pause by his table, making idle chit chat until she got to head back and get ready to leave, letting the bus boys take care of the dishes. She expected tonight to be no different.
Robyn glanced up as the doors opened and there he was. She smiled at him and let him get seated, nearly always the same one, before she walked over. "Hey. So, the usual?" she asked with a small grin, nodding to him before heading back to get his order. And as usual she'd sneak a few extra bits and pieces on his plate. She returned after a moment with his drink. "Food will be out soon." she said with a small smile, glancing around to make sure she wasn't ignoring any other patrons. "Busy night?" she asked him curiously, adjusting the menus on the table beside his briefly. She nodded to his response before straightening up. "I'll go check on your food." she said and went off to the kitchens. Though she returned shortly carrying the dishes and what not. "Enjoy." she said happily, setting them down on the table in front of him before going to deal with another customer.
Like most nights, she made her stops by his table, checking to make sure everything was okay, topping up his drink if he wanted it and so on. Though soon enough she was free to go, finishing at half eleven. "See you next week." she said and smiled, waving to him briefly before heading to the staff room to get rid of her name tag and pull on her hoodie. After doing so she left, walking down the street to await the bus home. Though as usual in Chicago, the bus was running late and so she'd be sat there half an hour longer than she should be. Which makes finishing work half an hour before close completely pointless. Though what could she do? Robyn sighed softly and leaned against the shelter, waiting patiently and sighing softly.

Lucas actually liked his job. He liked being useful to someone, no matter what. He was just in the mindset that any job will be better than nothing. So better make the best of it! Being a waiter wasn't the worst thing he could do for money. Just think about it for a second. There's probably a million other things that are so much worse. He'd prefer being safe, healthy, and barely making ends meet than anything else.
Plus, there were perks to working at Chicago's Chophouse. He stopped at the Hard Rock Cafe once after his shift on Friday and it then became a habit. Why? A girl. At first, he was too shy to mutter words besides his order and thank you. Now, it became easier. She was easy to talk to, so it wasn't that intimidating. Once he realized she worked the same Friday shift every weekend, he saved his extra money to afford a meal there on those nights.
It was another long day at work and he got off just before eleven. As usual, he headed across the busy street to the Hard Rock Cafe. As per company policy, he had taken off his uniform shirt, leaving him in a plain white tee, black slacks, and black shoes. The shirt was stuffed in his book bag that he carried to work for such things. Lucas pushed open the doors and his face lit up as he saw her. He just couldn't help it. He told himself not to be so easily captured by girls but it was hard with someone as cool as she was. He nodded, waving at her as he sat at one of his usual tables.
"The usual is perfect." And cheap. Though of course, he wouldn't say that out loud. He smiled and looked up as she came back, shrugging. "Somewhat, not as busy as you guys. Tourists wanna come here." He chuckled to himself, playing with his drink idly as he watched her bustle about. He noticed a slight increase on his portions since he first came and it made him smile, wondering if that was a company policy changing or if it was her. He hoped it was her but he wasn't going to assume. He's a bit self-conscious. Lucas waved at her as she left, biting his lip. "Later..." And of course, he chickened out. He couldn't ask her out or anything.
Sighing, he finished up and paid for his meal. He escaped the cafe before they closed, beginning the walk to his bus stop. Though tonight was different. Lucas noticed Robyn at his bus stop, sitting there waiting. Guess the bus was late because he'd never seen her there before... Swallowing, he carefully approached her and sat on the bench next to her. "Hey... fancy meeting you here..." He said softly, smiling a bit sheepishly. Coughing, he looked at his lap, biting his lip a bit. "I um... didn't know you took the bus?" He asked, raising his eyebrows as he looked up at her.

Robyn looked up and smiled, also surprised to see him there. "Hey. Uh, yeah. Usually I catch one later, cause I work till twelve. But this time? This one is running late." she said and rolled her eyes, looking up at him. She noticed how cute he was - she'd noticed that a long time ago though she'd never dwell on it. Especially since she never thought she'd see him outside of work. Guess she thought wrong. Alas.
Rob looked up at the sound of wheels and stood up, "Finally." she said with a grin to Lucas. She got on and paid her fair, taking a seat with him at the back of the bus. The ride to her place took around forty minutes so. She smiled, watching out the window briefly before looking back at the boy and making conversation. She asked him about his taste in music and movies.. which books he enjoyed. All those sorts of things. She nudged him gently as he mentioned a band he liked. "I love them." she said giggled, smiling. She could hardly believe how many things they had in common from music to movies.. and that was only the start. They hadn't even gone in to hobbies and such like yet.
Robyn smiled still, leaning back on the seat, watching him. "We're almost at my stop." she said and sighed softly. A little sad about that fact.

Ah, that explained it. He grinned a bit and nodded. "It's Chicago. Of course buses are going to be late." He teased, watching her face, the way her lips moved and such. It was entrancing to him... Of course, his gaze broke when the bus came. He blinked and looked up, his face coloring a bit. Did she notice him practically staring at her? He hoped not...
Lucas led the way onto the bus, paying the fair and taking a seat in the back with her. His stop was the one after hers, adding another ten minutes to his ride. He had a lot to say about movies, being slightly addicted to them himself. He mentioned a couple of bands, surprised that she liked them too. He was actually surprised by just how much they had in common... It made him like her even more.
As she said that her stop was next, he frowned and looked out the window. "My stop is just after this one..." He said and sighed, not able to hide just how disappointed he was about the fact. After a moment, he bit his lip and blushed. "Um, would you like to come over for coffee or something? I can walk you home after wards...?" Yes, it was after midnight and he was asking her for coffee...

Robyn had sighed softly too when he told her his stop would be after hers. Though she smiled at his offer of coffee. At midnight. Though she nodded. "Sure. Okay. Though if you're really gonna give me coffee don't expect me to go home until five am when the caffeine wears off." she teased him and smiled. And so so she sat back against the seat, leaning her head against it as she spoke to Lucas, glancing up they passed her stop though soon going back to being only focused on him.
When the bus eventually stopped at Lucas's usual spot she got up, walking off the bus with him and hopping off, waiting for him to be at her side. "So. Lead the way." she grinned, letting him do so and following Lucas to his apartment. When he let them in, she looked around. "Nice crib." she said with a grin. Not because she was teasing, but because she was amused by saying crib. The size and such was similar to her own place. She took her bag off, setting it on his sofa before looking up at him. "Coffee?" she smirked and wiggled her eyebrows a bit. Though she then raised one eyebrow, leaning a little closer to him, "Or did you mean something else entirely?" she teased.
So she was out going and playful, so sue her. Though really he should be glad, if she was feeling awkward or unsure, she'd not be saying anything like this to him. So it went to show that she was comfortable around him. Always good.

"One am or five am, I'll walk you home either way." He smiled sheepishly, watching her as they kept going past her stop. He continued to talk to her for the next ten minutes, finding it easy to do so. At his stop, he followed her off of the bus and grinned at her, leading her to his apartment.
It was a simple one bedroom apartment, very plain and very efficient. He smiled sheepishly when she complimented his 'crib', chuckling even. "Thanks.." He said, putting his bag by the door and kicking off his shoes. "Make yourself at home." Lucas nodded, heading to the kitchen.
Bless him. He actually blushed very deeply when she implied something other than beverages. He swallowed nervously, managing a smile to cover his shyness. "Well, there's beer too if you would prefer that instead of coffee?" He nodded and swallowed, moving around to get whatever beverage she decided on.

Robyn giggled when she made him blush. "I'm just teasing." she murmured, following him in to the kitchen. "Coffee is good." she said and smiled, leaning against the counter and biting her lip a little as she watched him. Though curiosity was eating her up. "How come you always come over for food? I mean, is the hard rocks meals that good?" she asked softly, watching him. She knew the food was good but she wouldn't spend her week waiting to dine there. Though maybe that was because she worked there, she wasn't sure.
Robyn took the cup when he finished up making her coffee, holding it carefully before sipping it a little, trying to not burn her tongue. Though a burnt tongue wouldn't matter to her, not as she was finally spending some time with the cute boy who frequented her place of work.

He nodded and started making the coffee, listening as she asked the dreaded question. Oh god... What can he say? The truth. Lucas concentrated on the coffee, biting his lip hard as he tried to figure out how to answer her question. He waited until he was pouring the coffee before he tried to answer.
Handing her the coffee, he cleared his throat and shrugged. "Well, yeah. The food is good. I mean, better than what we serve at Chophouse." He nodded, sipping his heavily creamed and sugared coffee. "You know, we get tired of the food that we serve." He smiled, biting his lip as he held his coffee. "Let's sit?" He asked, leading the way to his small couch in the living room. Comfy. Though if she looked, he was blushing just a tad.

Robyn nodded and grinned, watching his blush before following him through, sitting on his sofa with her coffee. Again, she spoke to Lucas of varying things, more this time about his hobbies and his plans for the future. You know, asking if he was in college or if he had plant to go to it. That sort of thing. Though her coffee was soon finished, it didn't stop her talking. She couldn't help it. Lucas was just .. so easy to talk to.
She turned slightly to face him, leaning her head against the back of the sofa. "I wondered for so long what you were like." she murmured and nodded, watching him carefully. "I'd always see you come in and I'd serve you.. But.. I always wondered what kind of stuff you liked.. You know, like music and things?" she said and sighed softly, closing her eyes for a moment. "Did you ever wonder about me?" she asked curiously, watching him, a little sleepily. Though it was no surprise, it was creeping ever closer to sunrise. "Mm, I should probably go." she said and sat up, stretching a little as she watched Lucas.

Lucas found her just as easy to talk to. He admitted he would love to go to college but just didn't have the money for it. He asked her the same questions, trying to get a feel for her personality apart from the restaurant and the basic likes. And he liked the personality that he was seeing, a lot.
When she started talking about wondering what he was like, that made him blush again. Damn that blush. He bit his lip as he resettled himself so that he was leaning against the sofa sideways. Staring at his lap, he nodded a bit. "Yeah, I did... How could I not?" He admitted, smiling sheepishly. When she mentioned leaving, he frowned and looked at the time. "You um... don't have to? You can sleep on the bed and I'll sleep out here? I mean, it's almost dawn..." He raised his eyebrows, biting his lip.

Robyn was never one to feel out of place in peoples homes, she could sleep anywhere and beside anyone so she smiled at his offer and nodded. "Okay. Sure." she said and smiled again, getting up and picking up her purse, letting Lucas show her through to the room and whatnot, she declined the offer of borrowing anything to sleep in, though she didn't wonder if he would realise what that meant. But he'd perhaps find out the following morning. Either way she let him settle her in his room for now. "Thanks." she murmured and smiled, kissing his cheek lightly before he closed the door.
Robyn stripped herself to her underwear and plaited her hair and tied it back before laying down in the bed and rather quickly falling asleep there. Though when proper morning rolled around she turned over and blinked. It wasn't that early, though it wasn't that late. And anyway, it was a saturday. She carefully climbed out of the bed, though she left the smell of her perfume as she pulled on her oversized hoodie and slipped out the room, wondering if Lucas was still asleep. If he was she would, return to his room to re-dress and leave quietly then head home. Though she would say her goodbyes if he was awake. Though she was glad she had stayed the night.

Lucas smiled, glad that she was staying. He had gotten her set up with anything she needed, though he had been perplexed as to the decline of clothes. Oh well, he just grabbed a pair of shorts for himself before leaving the room. When she had kissed his cheek, his cheeks had flamed of course but that was expected of the shy boy. Lucas got changed in the bathroom, just wearing the shorts as he settled himself on the couch. It wasn't uncomfortable but it wasn't a bed either. He had a pillow and blanket at least.
Lucas had woken up before Robyn, not able to sleep a whole lot on the couch. He's not complaining though. Either way, he had fixed himself a bowl of Frosted Flakes while wondering how long she would sleep. And of course, what would happen when she did wake up. The thought worried him a bit but it went away as he saw her come out of the room. Wow. He almost dropped his spoon at the sight of her in just the hoodie. Swallowing hard, he bit his lip and looked at the ground quickly. "Would you like some cereal?" He asked, glancing at her with a smile.

Robyn smiled and nodded. "Sure. Cereal would be good." she said and had him point out where everything would be kept so she could fix herself a bowl of the flakes. She didn't think her lack of pants was too big a deal, she did have on girl boxers, well, sort of. They were the short, shorts ones and all. But anyway, she had her hoodie on still and that kept half her bum covered..
After getting herself a bowl of the cereal she took a seat beside Lucas. "So. Do you have plans today?" she asked him curiously, carefully spooning her cereal in to her mouth, though keeping her eyes on him. She hoped he'd be free, she was going to ask if he wanted to maybe grab lunch with her or something. Maybe even go see a movie. But if not, she'd make plans with him some other time. She liked him, he was funny and great to talk to. Plus he was cute - though she tried not to let that influence her too much. Not yet at least.

Lucas couldn't help himself.. He watched her move around the kitchen, his eyes looking to places that weren't so... covered. He swallowed and forced himself to sit and eat his cereal. He looked up at her when she sat down and smiled a bit. "Nope, no plans at all." He asked, raising his eyebrows.
With a small smile, he shrugged a bit and looked at his cereal bowl. "Do you have plans? Cause if not... you know.. I wouldn't mind hanging out with you..." He blushed at that, realizing just how corny it sounded. Here he was with a girl in nothing but a hoody, on his couch, eating cereal. And that is what he says? Corny.

Robyn smiled and nodded. "Sure. That would be awesome. You wanna maybe grab lunch then head out to see a movie or go bowling?" she asked him and finished off her cereal. "or do you have any ideas?" she asked, getting up and going to the kitchen, putting the bowl in the sink before coming back. "I'mma get dressed then head home so I can shower and get ready. I'll come meet you downstairs at.. One?" she smiled before heading back in to his bedroom to finish pulling on her clothes from last night.
She came back through and smiled at him. "I'll see you in a while, crocodile." she grinned and left his apartment and headed back to her own place.
