Berlin rolled her eyes. "No. Her name isn't Jazetta. She doesn't have a name yet." she said and shook her head at him. Oy, this was going to be interesting. "And you have three months." she said and nodded, leaning back down to her purse and pulling out a parenting book. "You're gonna need this more than me." she said and threw it over to him.
Though as he mentioned popcorn she frowned and looked to the kitchen too. London's eyes about popped out his head as he just back, colliding with a chair and cursing under his breath before he ran around, grabbing bowls and popcorn, quietly, so should they come in, they'd think he'd been doing something other than listening in on their conversation.

Jaze nodded, relieved that he wasn't about to be Jaze and Jazetta. Eesh. He squinted his eyes at the book, frowning. "Oh god...I have to read?" He made a face, sighing hard. Damn it all. He hated reading. And it didn't look like it would have a lot of pretty pictures either. Damn. Jaze shook his head and just laid it on the table for now by his pack of cigarettes and ashtray. Later. Definitely a book for later. After a couple more cigarettes maybe...
He had thought he'd seen London peering around and heard the sudden collection of noises arise from the kitchen. "That ass..." He murmured, figuring that London had been eavesdropping. Great. If that was the case, then he knew who the father was. Shiiiit.

Ber watched him. "You know, Jaze. This would be so easier for us both if you would just grow the fuck up." she said and shrugged, getting up to go to the bathroom. She didn't sound pissed or any of the like, she was simply stating how she seen it. It wasn't like they were together or anything so she knew she couldn't really have that much of an opinion. But she knew that was the truth, it would be easier.
After a moment London returned with a big bowl of popcorn and resumed his seat on the sofa, looking nonchalantly at Jaze. "Want some?" he asked, holding the bowl out to the boy, raising his eyebrows.

Jaze clenched his jaw, watching her get up and leave. God, how many times did he have to hear people say that to him? A million? He sighed and lit up a cigarette, his nerves completely shot now. A father. He was going to be a fucking dad. What the hell was he supposed to do? Completely change his non-existent life around for one chick that he knocked up? Jesus. At least she was pretty. The thought was a bit selfish, yes, but it's Jaze. What do you expect? Either way, he wasn't sure what this made them. They would have a kid. So what was their relationship?
He looked up at London, raising an eyebrow before taking another drag of the death stick. "You know, you're an ass." He mumbled, blowing the smoke out slowly.

Ber sat in the bathroom a bit longer than necessary. She too was thinking this over - so this was it? She was going to his baby mama? Awesome. She shook her head at herself and rolled her eyes. She wasn't sure what to make it of it. But there it was. He was going to be the father of her little girl. Who, she hadn't told him, she intended to name Sunny. Ha. Suck that Jaze. She eventually got up and washed her hands, though she remained in the bathroom, calling Finch and telling her about everything.
London raised his eyebrows. "Anything you say, big daddy." he smiled and shrugged, popping some popcorn in his mouth. London would have said more. Possibly threatened Jaze that if he hurt Ber or the baby he'd have him. But he didn't, he could tell the news was getting him enough and so he simply watched him.

The crazy idea came to Jaze that him and Ber could... date. The thought alone shocked him. He hasn't actually 'dated' anyone in years. Not seriously at least. It was all about the sex and that was it. Would it be so bad to take this girl on a date? Really? Yes. No.... Maybe? Jaze wasn't sure how to answer that. He liked Ber, that was a given. He wouldn't have slept with her if that wasn't the case. But could he actually date her? Maybe. It seemed like a scary thought to go into unknown territory like that. He knew what his parents would say: shotgun wedding. That, he would say hell no to. His brother, Lucas, might say just date the woman and see how it goes. He could probably do that... For the sake of his kid.
God. Already it was his kid. What was wrong with him?!
Glaring at London, he inhaled from the cigarette sharply and blew it out slowly. "You're sooo funny, London. So fucking funny..." He mumbled, though under his seemingly cool exterior, he was a ball of nerves from the news. It was hard to accept and also hard to believe. Jaze also wondered when London would ring his neck. Any moment now...

London was watching him closely, wondering what the hell was going on in his head. Was he thinking about how his future would be with a kid in it? Was he wondering if he could run away? London sighed and leaned back, unable to hold his tongue any longer. "Jaze? Dude. You're my best friend. But if you hurt Ber or be a dick father to that kid, I will personally kick your teeth in." he said and nodded, clapping the other boy on the shoulder briefly before resuming eating.
Berlin returned a couple of moments later, taking her seat back in the arm chair and looking from Jaze to London and back. "What?" she asked, raising her eyebrows at both their expressions. God. If she knew that Jaze was contemplating dating her? Well, she'd be extremely surprised. She'd most likely say yes to the idea - she did like him. She just never seen him as the boyfriend type and so she'd never tried that route. She knew what she, and what he, wanted and they had rolled with it. But she'd be willing to try anything for the sake of the baby.

Jaze rolled his eyes, stubbing his cigarette out furiously. "Thanks London. Cause I totally needed that encouragement..." He murmured, the sarcasm thick in his voice. He leaned back into the sofa, making a face and staring at the table in front of him. What could he say to that exactly? Oh, I won't don't worry... Or hell no, I'm scramming. Great. Just. Great.
Jaze looked up as Ber came back in, not even thinking that she had taken too long in the bathroom. He figured it was a pregnant thing. Oh well. He watched her for a moment, eyes narrowed in thought. He wanted another cigarette but his pack was empty now. He needed something to keep him occupied though so he started tearing at the pack, picking it to pieces. "What should um... we do Ber? Should we go on a date?" He couldn't look at her as he spoke. Rejection sucks.

London shrugged a little, "Just sayin'." he murmured and got back up; he'd finished all the popcorn. The man eats like a horse, what can I say?
Ber looked up as Jaze spoke and raised her eyebrows at the suggestion. "Um, sure. I guess.." she said, surprised. She really hadn't expected that one. But she could see no harm in it. "Do.. you have plans or anything?" she asked curiously, wondering if it was spur of the moment or if he'd been thinking about it while she was in the bathroom. Though either way, she'd said yes and only time would tell how it would all end for them both.

Jaze shook his head at London, thinking very bad things about the boy right now. But that was besides the point. The real shocker was the fact that Berlin had agreed. He glanced up at her, surprise on his face before quickly glancing back at the table and clearing his throat. "Um.. not really no... We could um.." He racked his brain for something they could possibly do. And what his wallet would allow. Then again, he has connections all over the place. He had friends who worked at the theater and his brother worked at some nice place... Surely Lucas could get him a discount?
"We can be cliche and do the whole dinner and a movie thing.." He shrugged, still ripping the crushed cigarette pack into pieces, making a small pile on his lap.

Berlin nodded a little, "Um, cliché works for me. When?" she asked, shifting herself on the armchair as she once more picked up the crackers and orange juice. And now she was wondering if she had anything she could wear on a date - most of her maternity clothes were practical, you know, stretchy jeans, tee's, that sort of thing. Though she was quite handy when it came to sewing and such and so she was sure she'd be able to whip something up. Anyway, it wasn't like she was going to be dressing to impressing him - he'd already knocked her up, hadn't he?
Ber kept her orange juice to her lips, thinking about this whole dating thing. She was a little concerned that should he take her out she may actually have to admit to herself that she liked him. And then if it all went pear shaped she'd be upset. Hmm.

Jaze thought for a moment, getting his phone out to check his schedule. "I work tonight so... tomorrow night?" He asked, looking up. Shit. He still didn't have a place to live. At that moment, he was crashing at one of his co-worker's places but even then, how uncool was it to bring a girl home to that? His co-worker would probably kick his ass to the curb. Jaze played a cool face though, only because he realized what he could possibly do. He had a brother with a place to live...
Jaze texted Lucas while he talked with Ber, trying to bribe Lucas to borrow his apartment. Their parents wouldn't mind Lucas staying the night but Jaze? No way.

Ber nodded. "Sure, yeah. Pick me up tomorrow then, cause I can't drive my own car so well now. It's an original mini and getting in and out from behind the wheel right now? Tough." she said and nodded, giving him the address of her own place and having him tell her the time. "Now I need to go, need to call mom and sort out baby stuff. See you tomorrow, Jaze. Later London." she said as she put her scarf back on and left the apartment, heading to her own.
And so Ber went home to call Vesta, talking to her about what was happening. And all the while going through her clothes for something decent to wear the following day. And she did eventually find something before making her healthy dinner and taking her vitamins and all. The girl wanted to do this right.
And so the next day she found herself up and ready and counting the minutes to her date with Jaze. She.. was kinda nervous.

Jaze just nodded along with what Berlin said, not so keen on messing it up so soon. He watched her go before making a face and covering his hands. "God..." He mumbled, it being muffled by his hands. Girls and babies were officially confusing as hell.
None the less, he managed to secure Lucas's apartment for the night at least, using some crafty techniques. He went there before the date to make it less Lucasy and more like himself. After all of that was done and he had efficiently kicked Lucas out, he drove over to Berlin's place. Yes. He has a car but no apartment. Gas was easier to pay than rent.
Minutes before the set time, he went up to her door and knocked. Jaze looked rather nice for such a casual date. Black jeans, red button up shirt, and black shoes. Simple. Nice.
Meanwhile, Lucas had walked the several blocks with a pillow in his arms and his backpack on his back full of the basic necessities and clothes. Sleepover? Not so much. He went up to Robyn's apartment and knocked, hoping she was there.

And Ber went for simple too: a pale floral dress and flats. Though she made an effort with her hair and such. And so when Jaze arrived she was looking good and good to go. She got to the car and him and smiled as she got in. "Hey. You look nice." she murmured. It had been a while since she'd been on a date. Though the small talk on the way over to the restaurant was good and even more so once they were in the place. She ordered light food and water, she couldn't eat anything too heavy what with the baby and her nerves and all. So chicken with salad and croutons was her best option. And it was delicious. Though she couldn't help herself from ordering cheescake.
Though soon enough they were on the way to the movies, getting random sweets and what not before sitting down before the screen. Ber watched the screen intently for a while before she turned her head to look at Jaze curiously, wondering if he was even focused on the movie or if his mind was elsewhere; as hers was.
